In this critique, some of my classmates mentioned that I should try to match the format of the photos that I recreate a little more. They noticed that they were trying to pick out the differences between the two photos more than reading into the context of them. Coming away from this critique realizing that I need to somehow show that my mom is in the process of making these photos. I need to communicate the process of recreating the photos with either a behind the scenes video or using mirrors to show her in the background taking the photo. I think I also need to display the photos in an album where they are not necessarily side by side with their counterparts so that people won't look too closely into the differences.
Critique #2
In this critique, I had the photos printed from the roll printer in the lab. Everyone liked seeing them printed small and not displayed side by side. They seemed to like the idea of giving little clues to the process such as holding a mirror or photo that I am recreating. I was told to possibly print the photos from a Walgreens so they have the same paper quality as my moms.
